A medication review is a sit-down conversation with a pharmacist about everything you take — prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and supplements. At Mega Health Rx in Forest Hills we do it in a private room and share anything important with your doctor.

What we check
- Interactions between prescriptions, OTC medicines and supplements
- Duplicates — two medications doing the same job, often prescribed by different doctors
- Side effects that could be caused by a medication (dizziness, falls, confusion, fatigue)
- Timing — which medications to take with food, apart from each other, morning or night
- Cost — generics, 90-day supplies, lower-cost alternatives to ask your doctor about
- Simplification — syncing refills, pill organizers and blister packs
What to bring
Everything: every pill bottle, inhaler, cream, eye drop, vitamin and supplement, including things you take only occasionally. This is sometimes called a “brown bag” review. A list is helpful, but the bottles are better.
What happens after
You leave with an up-to-date medication list. If we find something your doctor should know about, we contact the office with a clear recommendation. We never change a prescription without your doctor’s approval.
